God, bowling and music rawks!!!

There were quite alot of things going on while i didnt update this dead blog. there were the bdiv, bintan trip and the malaysia open. firstly the bdiv, i didnt get to participate in this year's bdiv as i wasnt handpicked. if i could have just qualify for the roll offs, i wouldnt be in this state of depression but this was quite long ago and i have recovered from it already. secondly the malaysia open, i was able to go for this 2009 excellent trip cause my performance last year was quite good and they offered this to me. so we were at mega lanes/KL from 14th- 18th of march. the lanes were tough to me at the first part of the competition and by the time i found the area to play according to that lane condition, it was too late. the whole excellence trip was a memorable one and hopefully i am able to get another subsidized trip in 2010. Lastly, the bintan trip. the bintan trip was a memorable one as well, especially playing beach soccer in the rain. the room we stayed in was small but quite cosy, the activities we did were hupla(different type of catching), captains ball, billiards, snooker, karaoke, air rifle, archery, jungle tracking, flying fox, body surfing, street soccer and beach soccer. the dinner there was expensive, $20 for 3 dishes and no soft drinks! the lunch was acceptable and the bowling alley there that was under construction was ok. the breakfast was better than the lunch and the dinner. the ferry trip to bintan was terrible, i got sea-sick for the first time and the feeling was very bad but the ferry trip back to singapore was ok as i knew what i needed to do in order not to get sea-sickness. so this week is a really busy week and i havent done any homework yet :(

It has been a long time since i posted something on my blog and i totally agree that my blog is dead -.- k, firstly, i didnt qualify for the b div roll off, secondly the oiling in sch is totally different from the actual lanes at occ, thirdly i am coping well with sec 3 and lastly my life is so far good, better than average. well the biggest worry on my mind now is that i worry i will not be handpicked for b div, well my bowling is a bit screwed but nvm, still doing well. tmr is JARIS bday!!!! going for his party, venue is at taman jurong. i am sure its gonna be a good party tmr :D oh yeah, i finally caught up with one piece's episodes and waiting next week for the latest episode. i think i should start watching katekyo hitman reborn, hahah! i thought i wont be buying any balls this year but vincent says that its actually impossible cause eventually the ball will de out since i am training everyday, oh wells. if its the next ball i will get is to replace xtacy, the oldest 14lbs ball i have. according to current batch of balls from every brand, i might want to get wild card, dark star or sharp noize. yupp, so thats about it, hopefully it wont be so dead any more, as in the blog, haha -> Kim ooi >:)

Well the wii is here already, thanks to michelle again! haha its 1 more day to milo!!!! going to bowl tmr, finally. i was like 1 hour late today due to misunderstanding of the training time, that caused me to miss bowler of the month and training, sigh. haha but at least i helped david out with the passports and the passports stickers. haha jovi got a picture of him on his sticker, haha. planning to buy band hero and wii fit, my parents wants the wii fit to exercise -.-" but its good that they make the effort to exercise! haha nothing much to buy in malaysia except for wii games? haha hopefully i can room with darren and alex chong again, great experience during the august pyramid challenge. haha i really want all the sec 2 to be in the same bus and some sec 3 and 1? yeah but mainly sec 2! :) haha gonna bowl 7 mqs in milo, prayerfully i can qualify during 4 mqs and be SAFE. haha i am still selling the printer, so anything about the printer, sms me!

A big thanks to michelle ng for trading with me. I am getting the wii today after 1530. haha i have a blister on my thumb and its 3 more days to milo!!!!!!!! Well finally my arsenal is complete, for oily lanes i have the full swing, next in line will be the global domination, next is the xtacy tour domination and last but not least mars. haha all are in decreasing order(amount of hook) haha i just drilled the global domination today, tried it out, it was great :D haha the party yesterday was fun, bowling eclipse which i did not really like, bowling in the dark :/ than we had this drunk driving, i thought it has something to do with cars but it actually was something much worse. the rules are, spin 10 times, run in between 3 pins in a zig zag manner, do 10 burpies, spin 10 times again, skip 10 times, hula hoop 10 times and put a tennis ball in between your thigh and calf and hop back on one leg. i did that 2 times and i died on the second one. next was the flour frenzy, it was disgusting like dunno what. first i have to take a toothpick and search for 2 rubberbands with the toothpick in my mouth. there was only one plate so had to fight for it. next was to take a straw in your mouth and search for one m&m's. have to suck it up and drop it in the cup. so my whole face was filled with flour and my mouth half filled with flour too. haha lastly i joined the water bomb, all of us has to stand in a line and start throwing at each other, it was fun, wet and chaotic. haha so yeah, it was great :D

Yay!!!! We are champion for secondary school league :D we manage to bowl very well today almost 200 average for the team average. i think we are able to get weekly high series for team event and maybe i might be able to get for individual 705 series for 3 games. i manage to squeeze into masters :D

Ok, yesterday was sec sch league 4th week. we didnt do so well, so we might drop to 2nd or 3rd. we still got next week to catch up and get champion! so i really retired big hit(see my previous post) and got mars by roto grip. yesterday i bowled at mount faber and used xtacy tour domination to get 289. striked all the way till the 10th frame and have 2 more shots to go. on the 11th, i was tensed and pulled the ball in, the ball crossed pocket but left the pin 6 standing. it was a good experience la, alot of people standing behind. so i am wanting to use the mars for the final week of sec sch league. yay.

So yeah, SSS u18 just finished. i did fairly well for my age. at least able to get the $200 to cover back the cost. i am going to stop using my big hit, old ball. planning to get tropical storm to replace it. manage to know new friends from overseas. my thumb bleed from excessive griping of the ball, dunno how to stop it. forgotten how to. so know my next target is ancol open. i did a high score of 262 on the second day but this thailand girl did a 278 >< stupid yanee. nvm dun care.

Today was the first day of SSS international U18 competition. there are three different types of oiling pattern, 33ft, 38ft and 46ft. today was the short oiling(33ft), i didnt do very well cause i was confused and wasnt sure wat ball to use. i did a 172 average and it would be around 50th position?? hopefully not la. but still got two more days, so there is still hope to enter masters. thats all.

Today was sec sch league. me, nicholas, darius and hanyang was today's team. just when we start our 10mins practice throw, the ball return machine broke down and the motor of the machine even have smoke coming out of it. so the organizer like gave us free meal but we waited until 12.30 to bowl. the lane was damn dry and sucky.

This week was quite alright, daryl got the symptoms of h1n1 and i am so close to him!!! i hate to be quarantine, got to hav make up lessons and skip training la. now training to me is damn shiok, progressing well :D I got no A and no D, E, F for module 3 and 4 so far.... Well today was quite a frustrating and happy day. today was the ayg selection for sss to "spar" with the ayg next week, cst(combined sch team) and nyd(national youth development). So there were two sessions today for the selection. in the morning i didnt bowl well as i could not control the ball. the lane was 34ft and the ball just snap in until i used moonlight which was the last game, so too late and i was 10th -.- after lunch, we bowled again. this time was 40ft and i bowled quite well to pull up my score to 5th but if howard was bowling, i would be 6th. so yeah, qualified for ayg sparring :D:D:D

Just came back from sch after having the sean rash and tim mack talk. learned lot of new and impressive things. after the talk, we bowled like on the lanes itself not the approach but the lanes!!!! There was no oil at all, bone dry. so we bowled and we were in groups of 4 and the winner would be able to win S$100, sian but nvr win. congrats to the team that won, gerald so pro, sian... hahaha lols

Yesterday bowled at MF with vincent, jonathan, javier, kelvin, nicholas and jaris. before that we had the open house from 10 till 6. i was a academic tour guide, it was very tiring. i was quite nervous as there was alot of parents. so yeah... bout the bowling, i didnt really bowl well cause like i am very concious about my bowling and i bowled again today which sucked too. i really hope i will be able to qualify for singapore poen masters and thats all i wish for. but by having this kind of results, the chances for me to qualify is very little.

This week i didnt go to sch because of obs. i was looking forward all the way till this week! cause most of the seniors says that it was fun, so thats why. but when that day came, iwas already wanting to go home and sch! it was tough and tiring! might as well not go, so i was now looking forward to go back to sch! haha so came back on friday, dad pick me up from sch went home caught a good shower and went to eat macs like after a month! haha went to bowl got a 266 and bought a new pair of bowling shoes! hellbent/black :D

Thursday

It was the last day of sch as friday was labour day! sch was normal, nth much exciting. than i had physio at 3pm for my knee and i was so called "set free" from physio^^ do not hav to go to physio anymore! than had training, when i arrived at training they just finished practice throw and i was like rushing! went to the store room to take the bowling ball and coach assigned me to lane 9, 10 bowled with jonathan, han wei, kelvin and ryan. the oiling was 52ft?!?!?!? so i straight away went to bowl the line 1o,1o. the ball went straight all the way(1st time for me) got 18+ average... and i corrected my full roller release!^^

Friday

went to plaza sing with vincent, kel, jaris, jonathan and nick. went to watch xmen origine: wolverine. nice show! haha

The C division masters just ended this afternoon. my target was actually to go to the stepladder finals which is top 3 after 9 games. in the end, i was 4th. hais.... well at least i improve! it was really exciting but now once its over, its over. just got to aim for wats in front which is singapore open :D

Well, c div started! did well enough for singles to be last qualifier :/ than doubles came, it was great! i did a 157, 237, 224, 222, 189, 257. for the 257 game, if i did not get a 9/ for the 7th frame, it would be 278. hais... after the doubles, when we got back to sch, suddenly nicholas goh called me. i answered and he was like, "did u change your number?" i was like nooo~ hahas than later bestie asked me to call her, when i call her it was diverted to _. than i was like damn confused at first caused i didnt know who answered until later. than my bestie asked me to call her again, when i call, that same person answered. wth.... than i was like quite confusing. so didnt dare to call bestie again until she told me everything. hahas lols

Its our 5th annual aniversary(is the spelling correct?)!!!! this time we hav this mass dance to perform on that day, 300+ people!!! every academy will be performing, and at the end every body comes together and dance. the bowlers are carrying the bowling balls and dance, while the golfers hav their golf clubs and so on... the mass dance was fun but tiring. i am gonna get my new ball tmr, big hit from storm(my first storm ball :D)

Congrats to alex and grace who won the under 15 masters. hope to see u on newspapers :D i pity han wei alot, getting things very unfairly. i think if i was him, i would feel the same. i think i am about to forget bout wat happen yesterday until i went to see the masters. the feeling was like, i am supposed to be there bowling. hahas yeah.... went to northpoint with darius and glendon after the prize presentation. darius went to the foodcourt and ate kimchi ramen, glendon bought dessert while i went to buy "gio gio" its a sausage stall. i bought the cheese balls with chilli, the chilli was spicy and the cheese balls were hot(differentiate between hot and spicy) so i was like actually tearing while eating, talking on the phone with bestie and talking to glendon real life. crazy!!!!

Shyt, pulled my partner down. srrry...... anyways, my partner bowled 190+ average while i bowled a 172+ average.... hais. i sweared almost the whole time saying that i cant qualify. when it was about briefing, audrey came rushing out saying, "joel, joel!!! u and i r 11th!!!! for overall!!!!" i was like, "wat?!" "u kidding me?!" than she was like "NOOOO!!!" i was damn happy la, until tracy came to me and said, u r 15th. i was like confused man!!! at that moment i was hoping tracy was playing prank or joking(seriously) than i was hoping audrey would not play prank!!!(first time :P) after briefing, i ran to the results and saw that i was 15th, i was sad at first until i went like crazy(seriously) i was like, i bowl so bad still can 15th hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!(that crazy) shiok, tmr qiong!!!

In grandma's house

I am in my grandma's house now. my parents went to bangkok today. they left the house at 8.00am. i woke up at like 7+ cause they were like, "where's the passport?!" quite loud actually. now i am alone :( hahas, but i am staying at my grandma's house with my cousin. today had filming with uncle mike, he is coming back to be our GM again!!!! :D yeah! the seniors had filming with him while their bowling, while us were being filmed at the gym. the show is on channel 8, 14 april, 8 - 9pm. after that we had training and just bowled. daryl's dad gave me a lift to my grandma's house if not i had to carry 4 balls, 1 plastic bag, 1 bag, 1 shoe bag and 1 file to my grandma's house. me and daryl were supposed to do project but in the end we watch 3 hr of t.v. hahas hardwork yeah?! tmr is NAG :D yeah!!!!!!! shiok, finally competition :D gd luck to everybody!!!

Today, my sch ended early. usually it would finish at 11.55am but today finish at 10.20am!!! we had an academy outing at causeway for lunch. we ate at seoul garden and it was under the sch!!!! :D we could go back and bowl but onli after 5pm. so we finish our lunch at 2+pm. so me and darius went to the arcade to play in between the timing. i keep on playing guitar hero 1 arcade version!!! damn fun! :D i went back home to take my bowling shoe and my tool box cause i brought my ball home already. went to bowl, hahas lols thats all :D

I got a new spare ball yesterday. its a white dot/purple sparkle! i got it from uncle walter. his drilling is excellent!!! dun need skin patch also can put my thumb in while the rest need skin patch. yesterday, i tried it out at orchid bowl. i played outside line with pin navi. it was quite difficult at first but once i got the hang of it, it was much better. i bowled 120, 156, 152, 143(onli got 2 strikes)185, 180, 185, 177, 171. yeah so that was my score, very sucky actually. YAY!!! Nick won novice masters champion!!!! Joan and ai teng congrats to all!!!! :D jav bought a new ball, urethane, tour block NU, from storm. nick won a brunswick ball, rattler. the prizes were much better!!! well, gtg to sch...

Yayee, new month!!! new sms total!!! new things ahead!!! now i am trying to change my blogskins every two months!!! so starting of april i will change my skin!!! i really wanna work hard both in studies and in sports. this year being a sec 2 is a peak year for c div, and for studies it is streaming year! i am aiming to hav combine science, physics/chemistry. Planning to take P.E, not A maths, if i must take combine science but if possible take pure. combine humanitites would be geography and history, if dun hav history, social studies. yupps, so _, this is wat i plan :D

I did not bowl for like 5/6 days i think... i did not go to darius house today cause tmr hav fun bowl in the morning at mount faber!!! :D so i had nothing to do, so i went bowling. i went to safra yishun to bowl, 4/5 games...(STM) my first 2/3 games were like 90+, 14+, 15+, then once i got the hang of it, i bowled like a 224 and 184 :D i bowled 15/10. the ball went to the 2/3 boards and snap back all the way(DAMN NICE!!) UP-RISING!!!! ^^

We came back from milo on the 29/12 we took a coach there and back. the hotel was quite nice actually :D we had a time limit to be back to the room. it was like 10??!! the next morning i was late, so i had infringement. those who had infringement got to be back to the room at 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH?! so in the room stone in front of the T.V. overall was fun la... bought a t-shirt, shoe :D

Yesterday, we didnt just played games, we played games and there was positioning and stepladder!!! we played 4 games to see our standing. the top 4 will go into the stepladders. the sec 2s must -10 pins. after the fourth game, kelvin was 1st, alex 2nd, daryl 3rd and i was 4th :D actually if the sec 2s did not hav -10 pins, ryan would be in and i would be out, RYAN U WIN ME FAIR AND SQUARE!!!! :D the 2nd, 3rd and 4th will challenge each other to a 1 game KO round. i won so i must challenge kelvin.... (i was damn tired already) so we played and i got owned by him. i bowled a 13+ i think or maybe lower and kelvin bowled a 2++(two hundred plus). my last few frames were all pin 10s. so i said "bookie, bookie" XP
